Let's be honest, reaching out isn't easy. So first things first, a massive well done for arriving here. Saying that you need to talk and need some support is perhaps the kindest, most courageous, humbling act of self-love that we can do. So why is it so difficult? Quite simply, it's because we're human, and it's so easy to think that we should be able to overcome life challenges wihout getting too emotional. If only things were so simple. Whether you are crippled with anxiety, struggling with depression, battling addiction, living with trauma, or finding it challenging to cope with neurodiversity - First Steps counselling can help you develop the necessary tools and mindset that will help you achieve holistic wellness. The best time to reach out, is always NOW.
Healing starts here

A bit about me
My name is Kevin Fieber - nice to meet you, and well done for making it here. I am an integrative therapist, proud member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), and hold a first class degree in counselling. This basically means that I draw upon a number of therapeutic approaches and combine them, to create a toolset that is unique and tailored to the individual and contextual needs of my clients. I have lived experience of active addiction, ADHD, and autism. I am by no means limited to working with these challenges, but for those of you struggling with such issues I naturally possess a heightened awareness to the daily challenges presented by such clients. I have a very relaxed and informal approach to my work and strive to foster a friendly therapeutic setting for my clients to explore their struggles.

Client comments
"From the very first phone call Kev was absolutely fantastic. He made me feel at ease and he struck the right tone every time we spoke. The progress I believe I’ve made and the strategies he has helped me to develop have made a massive difference to my everyday life and my outlook in general. He has my gratitude & I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone"
"I was somewhat apprehensive about having a video call with a mental health expert as I’d never done anything like that in my life before, but Kev was brilliant and within the first few minutes it felt like I was chatting to a friend. The best thing was he totally got where I was coming from ! Which seems to be pretty difficult for none suffers of mental health issues"
"I started working with Kevin when I was very unsure of who I was and was just starting on my sobriety journey. I found he was very helpful with navigating the guilt I felt surrounding my past actions and how to move forward. I've been working with him for 6 months now and he's helped me work through many different challenges, including sobriety, friendships, relationships, childhood trauma, productivity, anxiety. I feel very lucky to have found Kevin as my therapist! He offers advice in a way that makes me realize things on my own which makes me feel like I was capable of making these decisions and conclusions all along, I just needed someone to help me through it"
